Accommodation and Welfare

Clients normally stay with local host families who are chosen by the school to match your personal requirements. Your experience of life with an English family is almost as important as your classes. We recommend host family accommodation since it enables the client to continue experiencing an English speaking environment in a more relaxed way, even when they are not studying at the school.

Living with an English family is an enjoyable experience where you have daily opportunity to speak to English people. Clients are able to get a better understanding of English culture as well as improving their language.

Our school has many excellent host families who will welcome you into their homes and allow you to experience English life. We carefully consider the information you give us about yourself, in order to place you in the most suitable home.

Host Family Accommodation

Clients have their own room with study facilities and have the opportunity to share in the normal life of the family. Clients are given breakfast and dinner every day, plus lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. During the week the school will provide a light lunch.

You may be sharing the family home with one other student, who is also studying at Bournemouth One to One.

Most families are within a short walk or bus ride from the school.

Note: Accommodation with a host family starts on a Saturday evening and finishes on a Saturday morning.

Residential and Hotel Accommodation

Residential accommodation is available at the school. If the client prefers hotel accommodation with more facilities, then there are many hotels available in Bournemouth, including 4 star and 5 star.

Welfare

The welfare and happiness of all our clients is very important to us. No matter what the problem, we will do all we can to help. Advice regarding visas and immigration is also available.

Health and Dental Care

In the event of illness, clients normally see their host family’s own doctor or dentist but the school can help if this is not possible. If you have chosen to stay at a hotel, then we will arrange for medical attention.

Please remember that medical insurance is strongly recommended, particularly for non-EU clients.
